The image has been edited to include nine colors instead of the thousands, or even millions of colors that it previously contained. The photo, due to its new limited amount of colors, has been converted from a png to a gif, which can have a maximum of 255 colors. This allows for the image to load much faster than it would have as a png. Putting the photograph in this format allows us to better understand colors on computers.Â
